Mauricio Pochettino has delivered a stinging assessment of Moussa Sissoko's first four months at Tottenham and warned the club's record signing he must raise his game.
Spurs paid £30million to sign Sissoko from Newcastle on the transfer deadline but he has made little impact and was not even in the squad for Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Chelsea.
'He was at home, he wasn't here,' said Pochettino, confirming there was no injury when pressed about the absence of the 27-year-old France international.
'He needs to work hard and to show in future that he deserves to be on the team,' added Pochettino.
