Almost four years have now passed since Mauricio Pochettino was dismissed by Tottenham under the cover of an international break, after the club’s worst start to a season for a decade culminated in a home draw with Sheffield United.
What followed at Spurs means his reputation still glows on these shores and it feels good to have him back. He will bring passion, adventure and good humour to Chelsea. Most importantly, if allowed, he will bring cohesion.
Pochettino connects. It is a key strength. He will plug into all parts of the club, forge bonds and hold them together to generate one force.
