Mauricio Pochettino admits talking to Dele Alli after Tottenham star's latest diving controversy

Mauricio Pochettino has admitted to talking with Dele Alli about the diving allegations that have dogged the midfielder all season.

The Tottenham manager, who compared the scrutiny Alli is under to that of Wayne Rooney for much of his career, insisted their conversation was more avuncular in nature than stern, describing Alli as a 'great kid' who is extremely competitive.

Alli came under fire again for his tangling with Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey during Tottenham's 1-0 victory at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
