Manchester City will ward off interest in the player they believe will be their next English superstar by handing 16-year-old Jadon Sancho a bumper pay rise and new three-year contract.
City signed the left winger in March 2015, paying Watford a fee rising to £500,000 for the young prospect.
The teenager’s progress has been so rapid that Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been circling in a bid to exploit rumours that Sancho may have been homesick for the south.

Now, encouraged by manager Pep Guardiola, City have moved to increase the terms of Sancho’s current deal, which was only signed by the youngster last summer.
