Liverpool have demanded that referees’ chiefs release the audio of the bungled VAR call that cost them a goal at Tottenham on Saturday.
Reds winger Luis Diaz had his strike disallowed for offside but VAR Darren England and assistant Dan Cook mistakenly thought the on-field decision was onside, so did not correct the blunder.
Liverpool condemned the error on Sunday night and claimed they had a ‘range of options’, having lost the match 2-1. They could ask for the game to be replayed.
There is a split between senior figures at referees’ body PGMOL over whether to release the audio.
