Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said he didn't know if they had been the victims of another VAR controversy after Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross escaoped a red card in the 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards said the Brighton midfielder should have been sent off for his foul on Dominik Szoboszlai.
Gross gave away a penalty during the first half for pulling back the Hungarian inside the penalty area when he was the last man.
But he was not shown a red card following a VAR review.
Mohamed Salah scored from the resulting penalty just before half-time in a quickfire double that saw Liverpool take the lead.
