Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus has signed a new contract with the club until June 2023.
Reus, whose previous deal was due to run out at the end of next season, allegedly turned down “the best clubs in the world” to stay at the Westfalenstadion, according to Dortmund’s chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke.
The midfielder reportedly attracted the interest of Premier League clubs including Tottenham and Liverpool, who were seemingly in pole position to land Reus.
But the German has put pen to paper on a new five-and-a-half-year deal and Reus said he was proud he would continue to wear the Dortmund shirt.
