The Dutchman joined the club in a £22million deal in the summer after starring for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie.

Harry Kane's injury absence has given him an extended run in the Spurs team but Janssen has yet to replicate the form he showed in Holland.

He has scored twice this term but both of those goals have come from the penalty spot and he was criticised in some quarters for his display in the midweek EFL Cup defeat at Liverpool.
