Kyle Walker best right-back for England, and probably for Spurs, too

It just had to be. With England trailing Scotland 2-1 in their World Cup qualifier thanks to two late free kicks, who else but Harry Kane should pop up at the far post to volley home an equaliser in the 93rd minute? The striker who just can't stop scoring for Spurs now can't stop scoring for England.

A draw was probably a fair result. Scotland played with passion while England had the edge on technical ability, but both teams looked a bit rusty. That was hardly surprising, given the timing of the game. Scheduling a World Cup qualifier nearly a month after the end of the regular football season was, at best, a curious decision.
