Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer has said that he wants to leave the club this summer but added he hopes to remain in the Premier League.
Wimmer, 24, was a bit-part player at Tottenham last season, making just four league starts despite manager Mauricio Pochettino's regular use of three central defenders.
The Austria international joined Tottenham from Cologne in 2015 and was rewarded with a new long-term contract last summer after a promising maiden season in the Premier League.
But Wimmer is quoted by Laola1 as saying: "The second season did not go as I hoped for.
