Kevin Wimmer set for Stoke medical after Tottenham agreed a fee for Austrian defender... meaning West Brom and Crystal Palace will miss out

Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer will have a medical at Stoke City on Monday after the clubs agreed a fee.

West Brom and Crystal Palace both made offers for the Austrian last week before Stoke agreed terms on Friday.

The 24-year-old Wimmer will be the third defender signed by Mark Hughes this summer following Bruno Martins Indi and Kurt Zouma.

Captain Ryan Shawcross is expected to see out the last year of his contract.
