Kevin Wimmer has said he is "down on expectations" after struggling to get minutes for Tottenham this season.
Wimmer, who made 21 appearances last season after joining from Cologne, signed a new five-year contract in July.
But a source close to Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino had told ESPN FC the club would listen to offers for the 23-year-old Austria international in the summer window.
Wimmer has since made only one appearance, in the EFL Cup, this season.
"After last season, where I played towards the end quite frequently, I'm already down on other expectations for this season," he told Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung.
