Kevin De Bruyne is putting himself in contention to feature for Manchester City on Saturday after training with Pep Guardiola's squad this week.
The midfielder has been struggling with an ankle injury sustained during the European Championship, a problem he encountered before starting Belgium's quarter-final defeat by Italy.
Guardiola made clear at the start of the campaign that City are managing De Bruyne's issue, with the talisman so far playing just 11 minutes when coming off the bench at Tottenham on the opening weekend.
De Bruyne sat out victories over Norwich City and Arsenal, choosing not to report for international duty with Belgium this month.
