Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent says Jose Mourinho's tactics are 'dated' and that winning the Carabao Cup final would only 'paper over the cracks' at the club.
Bent believes Mauricio Pochettino was the right man to oversee a long-term project in north London and that Mourinho - who is under great internal scrutiny following Thursday’s disastrous Europa League exit to Dinamo Zagreb - was only brought in to stop Tottenham's immediate 'decline'.
Bent also claims winning a trophy is 'not enough' for the club after suffering early exits in both the FA Cup and Europa League, while also struggling to finish the 2020-2021 Premier League season in the top four.
