Jamie Redknapp has suggested that Jurgen Klopp may want to manage Jurgen Klopp 'in a couple of years' after the German's frustrations at bringing in some new centre backs.
Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez suffered long-term knee injuries early in the campaign before Joel Matip was ruled out for the season after damaging ankle ligaments against Tottenham last month.
Liverpool eventually did manage to recruit some central defenders, bringing in Ben Davies from Preston and Ozan Kabak from Schalke in the dying embers of the window.

However, Klopp hinted after the recent shock loss at home to Burnley at his frustrations at being unable to spend big on replacements for Van Dijk, Gomez and Matip and his lack of control over transfer policy.
