Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has insisted his post-match outbursts are part of a strategy to communicate with his players, not his emotions getting the better of him.
The Italian has blown hot and cold over his squad in recent weeks, first hailing them as the best group he had worked with following a triumphant 3-2 win over leaders Manchester City, before suggesting the players were the problem a few days later after defeat to strugglers Burnley.
Conte has also hinted at an exit from Tottenham in summer as he questioned his own position at the club after the defeat at Turf Moor came as their fourth in five games.
