Midfielder Harry Winks, meanwhile, was an unused substitute for England Under-21s in their 4-0 away victory over Denmark.
Elsewhere, youngster Marcus Edwards was on the scoresheet for England Under-19s as they completed their European Championship elite round qualifiers with a 5-1 win over Belarus at St George’s Park. The attacking midfielder netted England’s third goal and completed the full 90 minutes, as did Alfie Whiteman in goal.
