In the opening minutes of Tottenham’s replay with Rochdale, Erik Lamela thought he had scored for the hosts.
However, despite seemingly tapping in a legitimate goal, the Argentine looked on in disbelief as referee Paul Tierney consulted the television officials and duly chalked the goal off.
Fernando Llorente was adjudged to have fouled a Rochdale player in the build-up, and the goal was ruled out.
Shortly after, Tottenham were correctly awarded a penalty.
