'I remember it all, except those minutes when I was in heaven': Christian Eriksen recalls in vivid detail his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, admitting he thought he'd broken his back at first, before wanting to retire when he realised he'd 'been dead'

Christian Eriksen has detailed for the first time his harrowing memories of dying for 'three or four minutes' when he suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark's Euro 2020 clash against Finland on June 12 last year.

Danish TV station DR1 released clips from the former Tottenham and Inter Milan midfielder's first interview since the incident earlier this week, with Eriksen revealing he wants to play at the Qatar World Cup later this year and insisting he has no concerns of suffering another heart attack after having an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) fitted.
