'I have to grab a piece of paper and write down the pros and cons': Jan Vertonghen admits he is torn over whether to extend his eight-year stay at Tottenham with defender out of contract on June 30

Jan Vertonghen has revealed he plans to draw up a list of 'pros and cons' to decide whether he will stay with Tottenham beyond the end of this season.

The 32-year-old defender has been at the club since 2012 but his current deal expires on June 30 and having failed to secure regular action since Jose Mourinho took over, his future remains unclear.

But for Vertonghen, no decision has yet been made and is is 'in a process right now' to establish his next move, given there is reported interest in Italy should he leave Tottenham on a free transfer.
