The midfielder was given Danish’s football’s most prestigious honour – the equivalent of the PFA prize in England – for a fourth time in five years on Sunday night, putting him level with all-time great Brian Laudrup for the highest amount of times one individual has claimed the award.
“I feel very pleased and humbled to have received this prize again,” said Christian, who became the first player in history to win the award three years in a row between 2013 and 2015.
“It’s been a very good year with some nice moments and the fact that this award is voted for by other players makes it mean something extra, so it’s a very nice feeling.
