Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has opened the door for Arsenal or Tottenham to make a move for the winger after admitting the Frenchman 'hasn't been able to live up to expectations' in Spain.
Simeone did heap praise on the Frenchman, who has started just nine games under the Argentine, but admitted it might be time to part ways as he has not been 'able to develop his game' in La Liga.
The Gunners were desperate to sign Lemar in the summer of 2017 when he was plying his trade for Monaco - but their £90million pursuit ultimately fell by the wayside after they refused to sell Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City.
