Two goals just before the interval settled any nerves as Tottenham cruised to a 5-0 win over a Swansea side that offered little.
Spurs were fortunate to be awarded a penalty for their opener when Kyle Naughton was adjudged to have brought down Dele Alli and Harry Kane scored from the spot. Son Heung-Min doubled the lead with a well-taken volley just before the break and Spurs went on to add three more in the second half.
Positives
At last Spurs were able to convert possession into goals. Though they were slightly tentative in the opening exchanges, they gradually began to find some of the fluency that characterised their play last season.
