Graham Potter admitted that he is unwilling to take a 'risk' with N'Golo Kante's fitness, with the French international midfielder currently on his way back from a muscular injury sustained against Tottenham in August.
The Blues boss insisted that his primary concern was to insure the player's safety before reintroducing them to the first team, and revealed he wanted to make sure that once Kante returns, he is able to stay in the side.
Kante has been one of Chelsea's best and most consistent performers since his 2017 arrival from Leicester, but he has missed a total of 72 games through injury.
