You wouldn’t blame Gareth Southgate for hiding behind the sofa every time Tottenham play.

Any chance of England having a successful tournament this summer depends on two Spurs stars staying fit and avoiding injury.

No prizes for guessing who, of course. Tottenham’s routine win over Huddesfield on Saturday afternoon provided us all with another snapshot of why Harry Kane and Dele Alli are vital to Southgate’s plans for the World Cup.
