Gareth Bale expects Real Madrid to honour his lucrative salary ahead of potential permanent transfer exit this summer

Gareth Bale expects Real Madrid to honour his lucrative salary even if he leaves this summer.

The Welshman has revived his form at Tottenham, having scored two and supplied the assist for Harry Kane's goal in Spurs' comfortable 4-0 win over the Clarets on Sunday.

As a result, Bale could look to extend his season-long loan from Madrid – who are currently paying half of his £600,000-a-week salary.
