Former Tottenham starlet William Troost-Ekong becomes 43rd member of Common Goal with Juan Mata's initiative set to invest its £350,000

Former Tottenham academy graduate William Troost-Ekong is the latest footballer to commit one percent of his earnings to Common Goal.

The initiative, started by Manchester United's Juan Mata back in August, can now boast 43 players and coaches who together hope to improve the lives of underprivileged children and adults across the globe.

Troost-Ekong was born in Holland but began his football career as a trainee at Fulham and then Tottenham. However, after failing to make a breakthrough, he returned to Holland with FC Groningen.
