Tottenham have opened the door to Jermain Defoe to return to the club where he was idolised following his decision to retire.
The 39-year-old scored 143 goals for Spurs and is widely recognised as one of the club's greatest ever goalscorers.
Defoe is taking his coaching badges as he looks to stay in football after hanging up his boots.
And Spurs will provide Defoe the chance to complete his qualifications at their state of the art training facility in Enfield, which could then lead to the former England star joining on a more formal basis.
