Erik Lamela injury leaves Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino 'worried' while concerns linger over Toby Alderweireld knee problem

Mauricio Pochettino admits Tottenham are ‘worried’ about Erik Lamela with his injured winger failing to meet recovery targets and with no return date set.

Lamela has been sidelined since late October with a complex hip injury and Spurs still have no idea when he will be back.

Pochettino also has concerns about centre back Toby Alderweireld, who has been out for seven weeks but returned to training this week only to suffer more pain in his injured knee.

The centre back is a doubt for Saturday’s visit of Swansea City at White Hart Lane as club medical staff continue to assess him — but Lamela has no chance of playing.
