Erik Lamela is in line to be on the bench for Tottenham's Carabao Cup game against West Ham on Wednesday – a year to the day since his last appearance.
The Argentinian has been battling with a serious hip injury and has not appeared since a 2-1 loss to Liverpool on October 25, 2016.
Tottenham's Premier League meeting with Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool this weekend will come too soon for Lamela but he is back in first-team training.
