England midfielder Eric Dier has sparked outrage after he was caught using his phone at the wheel.

The Tottenham Hotspurs star was spotted holding his white iPhone as he left training last week, driving a top of the range Range Rover Evoque.

Dier, 23, who is said to earn £70,000 a week at his club, risked six penalty points and a £200 fine, under new rules implemented recently.

'We've all seen the photos of football players using phones while driving, but to see Dier doing this just days after such a big crack-down was shocking,' an angry onlooker told the Daily Star Sunday.
