Do Tottenham want to play in the Europa League? The club may well find themselves in it once they drop out of the Champions League, but would it be good for them? We asked two of our Spurs experts for their thoughts.
Yes, Spurs should play in the Europa League
If Tottenham are too good for the Europa League then they have hidden it well for the last few months, during their disappointingly brief Champions League campaign.
While the 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow in Russia showed some maturity, Spurs have also looked like rabbits in the headlights at times, notably against Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen -- and it was the same story in their round of 16 clash against Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League last season, when Mauricio Pochettino's side lost 5-1 on aggregate.
