Dele Alli has more goals and assists after 50 games than Steven Gerrard, and Frank Lampard... the Tottenham star is fulfilling his huge potential

Dele Alli marked his 50th Premier League appearance in style on Wednesday night, scoring twice to help Tottenham to a convincing 4-1 victory at Southampton.

Those goals - a towering first-half header and a well-placed finish late in the game - were the 15th and 16th goals of his short, but hugely impressive, top-flight career.

Alli has just one assist to his name this season, but his numbers through a half-century of games stack-up superbly against some of the division's best ever players.
