Dele Alli gave the thumbs up from his hospital bed after undergoing hip surgery as the former England international's camp denied reports of an expensive night of partying just before his laughing gas shame.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who has undergone a stunning fall from grace since his exit from Tottenham, was pictured last week surrounded by nitrous oxide canisters.
The picture, which was shared on social media, showed Alli inside a flat in Salford with a balloon in his mouth next to giant bottles of laughing gas.
But representatives of the footballer denied reports in The Sun that Alli and his friends splashed out £6,000 on champagne and tequila at a club the night before.
