Referee Darren England's LinkedIn page has circulated on social media after fans noticed his bio described himself as 'reliable' with 'excellent communication skills' - despite being involved in the VAR chaos that saw Luis Diaz's goal against Tottenham disallowed.
The fallout from Liverpool's controversial 2-1 loss at Tottenham has continued this week, with the club unsuccessfully appealing against Curtis Jones' red card and also making a formal request to receive the audio file from the VAR decision makers on the day.
Diaz's goal was wrongly chalked off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the audio clip has since showed VAR official England and assistant Dan Cook failing to realise that on-field Simon Hooper had not awarded the goal - despite acknowledging that the Colombian was in fact onside.
