Hugo Lloris is convinced Danny Rose and Kyle Walker are on a fast track to becoming one of the greatest full back pairings in the world, claiming they will be as important for Tottenham and England as Bixente Lizarazu and Lilian Thuram were to France.
Rose and Walker have been consistently excellent for Spurs in a season when steady performers have been notable in their absence, as underlined against Burnley on Sunday when Rose scored the winner with his second of the season from left back and Walker delivered his fourth assist from the right.
Rose, in particular, is fast emerging as the strongest left back available to England manager Gareth Southgate, and Lloris compared the 26-year-old pair to France greats Lizarazu and Thuram.
