Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is seeking clarification on whether top target Julian Nagelsmann is open to replacing Antonio Conte as the club’s new head coach.
Levy wants to ascertain Spurs' chances of luring Nagelsmann, one of the most high-profile manager’s in European football, before turning his attentions to other candidates on the club’s shortlist of to replace Conte, who left the club on Sunday night.
Nagelsmann, who was sacked by Bayern Munich last week, will be one of the most sought after managers in European football given his availability and the fact he can be appointed without having to play another club compensation in the summer.
