A Harry Kane header two minutes from time was enough to gift Tottenham a vital three points as they propelled themselves back into the top four.

It looked set to be a frustrating afternoon for the visitors at Selhurst Park after a number of earlier opportunites had been spurned by the English striker.

Mauricio Pochettino's side had two penalty appeals waved away and also had to face the criticism of a dive from Dele Alli but for Palace they remain outside the relegation zone purely on goal difference.
