Christian lends a hand to clean up local War Memorial

Christian, alongside 11 serving members of the Armed Forces representing the Navy, Army and RAF, and two veterans, and the Mayor of Haringey, Cllr Mann, cleaned the memorial which was erected in Wood Green in 1920 to commemorate those who died from the local community in battles during World War One.

Once the clean-up activities were completed, Christian laid a wreath of poppies on behalf of the Club to remember and honour all those Servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in armed conflict.

Christian, said: “The Club does a lot to support the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal each year, supporting local community activities like the one here today.
