Tottenham finished a disappointing Champions League campaign on a consolatory high note, beating CSKA Moscow 3-1 in their final group game and qualifying for the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Spurs dominated throughout and, although they initially fell behind against the run of play, goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane deservedly put Mauricio Pochettino's side 2-1 up before the break, and Alli then forced an own goal from visiting goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev in the second half.
Positives
Christian Eriksen looks sharper with every game and ran the show, while Kane was on target once again and Alli ended a dry spell in front of goal, scoring for the first time in nine appearances.
