Celtic secured a world-record eighth treble as they defeated Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Hampden in the Scottish Cup final.
With speculation swirling around Parkhead boss Ange Postecoglou over his potential move to fill the managerial hotseat at Tottenham, this was a successful – if not always sparkling – end to the campaign.
Having already clinched back-to-back league titles and the League Cup earlier in the season, Celtic lifted the last piece of silverware thanks to Kyogo Furuhashi’s first-half close-range strike and substitute Liel Abada’s second half effort.
They were made to sweat when Inverness substitute Daniel MacKay headed the Highlanders back into the contest with six minutes remaining.
