Having finished third in our group after a series of 50-minute games throughout Friday and Saturday, we battled it out with the Belgian side in the fifth place play-off and put on a positive display, going close a couple of times before midfielder Maghoma stepped off the bench to fire us to victory.
“It was a good game, the boys played pretty well and it’s always good to finish a tournament with a win,” said coach Scott Parker. “We came under a bit of pressure at the beginning of the game and then after that had some clear chances in the first half and we probably should have been 2-0 up at half-time.
