The Premier League’s refereeing body have admitted they got a major call wrong after Brighton were denied a penalty during the defeat by Tottenham.

PGMOL chief Howard Webb has acknowledged Brighton should have been awarded a penalty when Kaoru Mitoma was brought down by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the second-half.

Cristian Stellini's side secured their first win since Antonio Conte's departure thanks to Harry Kane late strike to secure a 2-1 home victory.
