Brighton and Tottenham shared the spoils at Amex Stadium after Pascal Gross cancelled out Harry Kane's opener two minutes after the England forward broke the deadlock.
The first half ended goal-less with few clear chances created for either side. Christian Eriksen and Kane were both guilty of wasting free-kicks in dangerous positions.
After the break the game came alive. Kane put Spurs one up after Son Heung Min did brilliantly to keep the ball in play. But the Seagulls were awarded a penalty shortly afterwards as Serge Aurier was adjudged to have fouled Jose Izquierdo.
