Brentford have resurrected talks with Nottingham Forest over Brennan Johnson after initially appearing to pull out of the race for the 22-year-old.
The Bees saw their last bid of £43million rejected by Forest as they look for a fee closer to their valuation for the Wales international.
Tottenham are also interested in Johnson with Ange Postecoglou a big fan of the Forest star's capability to play in numerous positions.
A product of Forest's academy, Johnson has made 108 senior appearances for the club and has scored 29 goals, while he has provided 12 assists.
