Tottenham owner Joe Lewis has been charged with insider trading by American authorities, it has been revealed.
The Southern District of New York (SDNY) accused the British billionaire of passing on sensitive inside information to friends, 'romantic partners' and his personal pilots.
US attorney Damian Williams revealed the allegations in a stunning video released on Twitter.
Williams said: 'Today I am announcing that my office, the Southern District of New York, has indicted Joe Lewis, the British billionaire, for orchestrating a brazen insider trading scheme.
'We allege that for years Joe Lewis abused his access to corporate boardrooms and repeatedly provided inside information to his romantic partners, his personal assistants, his private pilots and his friends.
