BREAKING NEWS: England star Kieran Trippier is charged with breaching the same FA gambling rules that saw Daniel Sturridge hit with four-month ban over bets placed related to his £20m move to Atletico Madrid from Tottenham

England and Atletico Madrid star Kieran Trippier is facing a suspension from football after being charged with misconduct for allegedly breaching Football Association's betting rules.

Trippier has been penalised for betting offences in relation to his £20million move from Tottenham to Atletico Madrid in July last year.

'I have fully complied with FA's investigation on voluntary basis and continue to do so,' Trippier said in a statement in response to the charge.
