Tottenham chief scout Steve Hitchen was in the crowd at Borussia Dortmund against Monaco on Wednesday night.
Dortmund's highly-rated United States international Christian Pulisic was among the players Hitchen ran the rule over.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder came on as a substitute and played as a right wing-back.
Pulisic has attracted interest from across Europe following a number of impressive displays for the Westfalenstadion club.
After coming on at half-time against Monaco, Pulisic produced another lively performance, although he could not prevent Thomas Tuchel's side slipping to a 3-2 defeat in the first-leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
