Ange Postecoglou has described abuse he suffered from a section of Tamworth supporters as ‘vile’ and ‘detestable’.
The partisan crowd at the Lamb Ground made it their business to make life uncomfortable for their illustrious visitors during Sunday’s FA Cup third round tie, won 3-0 by Spurs after extra time.
Most of it was in good humour according to Postecoglou, who also praised the welcome he received from Tamworth manager Andy Peaks and the National League club.
Some of it, he thought had crossed a line and was simply not acceptable, including items thrown at him form the terraces behind the dug outs.
