It was certainly a day Tom Davies will never forget. The Liverpool lad, who’d come through the academy ranks at Everton after joining at the age of 11, scoring his first senior goal for the club against Manchester City.
It capped a man of the match performance by the 18-year-old midfielder, one of a number of bright young things currently in Ronald Koeman’s Everton squad.
Davies is also proof that local lads can prosper in the Premier League and we take a look at the some of the other youngsters hoping to make a breakthrough at their hometown club.
